About Us

The Josiah Fletcher Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Pittsburg, Kansas dedicated to honoring the legacy of Josiah Fletcher, a remarkable individual who devoted his life to making the world a better place. Based on his values of inclusivity and a deep passion for music, we want to continue his mission and inspire positive change in the SEK community.

Our Story

The Josiah Fletcher Foundation is a tribute to Josiah Fletcher's love for others and talent for music. He made a lifelong commitment to making himself a great human, Christian, friend, and mentor. Josiah, a native of Southeast Kansas, discovered his love for music at a young age. While he refused to draw or color, it was his introduction to piano lessons in kindergarten that ignited his passion for music.

Josiah was blessed to be surrounded by talented musicians in his family, school, and church community. Even before reaching the age of 13, Josiah was an active member of his church's worship and youth bands. He used his musical talents to better the lives of others.

Throughout his life, Josiah made it his mission to improve the lives of others, always going the extra mile to make people feel welcomed and accepted. His dedication to service and music inspired the creation of the Josiah Fletcher Foundation (JFF) in Southeast Kansas.

The Josiah Fletcher Foundation continues his legacy by using music and service to uplift and empower the community of Southeast Kansas, carrying forward Josiah's legacy and empowering those around us.
